About Me

Hi, I’m Kenyon Gatlin — Founder of Nite Nite Baby

As a mom to a NICU grad who’s almost two years old, I know firsthand how challenging sleep can be for little ones. I also know how much sleep — or lack thereof — impacts the entire family.

My journey into pediatric sleep consulting wasn’t just professional; it was deeply personal.

Before becoming a mother, I worked as a nanny for two wonderful families, where I gained hands-on experience with infant and toddler sleep. I helped one family successfully sleep train their baby, and with the other, I witnessed the benefits of already-established sleep routines where the children slept independently.

At the same time, I worked as an EMT in Los Angeles County while pursuing my education to become an RN. During my years on the ambulance, I saw firsthand the devastating effects of unsafe sleep practices — tragedies that no parent ever imagines could happen. Those experiences left a lasting impression on me and are a big part of why I’m so passionate about helping families create safe, independent sleep habits.

I earned my associate’s degree in health science while pregnant, with plans to start nursing school when my daughter turned six months old — but life had other plans.

After a traumatic birth experience, my daughter spent 59 days in the NICU for Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy. While there, she was diagnosed with laryngomalacia and tracheomalacia. She came home with a G-tube, requiring multiple outpatient therapies each week to support her development.

Those early months were emotional and exhausting. I quickly realized that sleep wasn’t just a luxury — it was a necessity for my well-being and my ability to care for my daughter in the best way possible. My husband and I made the decision to pause my nursing career so I could stay home with her, and I’ll forever be grateful to him for making that possible.

Motivated by our experience, I became a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant through the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management. Through both personal experience and professional training, I’ve developed a deep understanding of infant sleep, responsive caregiving, and the importance of rest for the whole family.

My goal with Nite Nite Baby is to walk alongside you during what can often feel like an overwhelming and exhausting time. I’m here to offer compassionate, evidence-based guidance that empowers you and your little one to develop healthy, independent sleep habits.

You deserve to feel confident in your parenting — and your baby deserves the rest they need to thrive.

Let’s work together to bring more peace, rest, and joy back into your home.
